This intricate cut through design was inspired by an 1800 Spanish colonial iron gate, that protected a young lady's balcony. Back in those days a damsel had to have the father's approval to date. Legend tells of her lover who was not approved by the family that had to sneak up to the damsels balcony just to kiss her through the gate. So this is the story of the Love Gate.
